| Francis Limérat was
born on August 1st 1946 in Algiers. He lives and works in Paris and
in the Entre-deux-Mers. His approach is rooted in the history of Abstraction. It is characterized by thin wood sticks drawing up linear openwork structures which are halfway between sculpture and painting. Their shadows reflected onto the wall propose a geometric and sensitive vision of space. Along with the structures he has developed a graphic body of art. One part of it pertains to the same spirit as the one which is at work in the structures. Another one consists in rendering the cartographic notes collected during his journeys. |
